We had the BEST day at the aquarium today! 🐠🦈 The boys and girls had so much fun exploring, learning, and seeing all the amazing sea creatures up close!

❤️🤍 Candy Cane Day was SO sweet! Our students rocked their red and white and brought all the holiday cheer. We’re ready to sprinkle even more Christmas magic this week! 🍭✨

🎄✨ Holiday Character Day at CPC! ✨🎄 Our halls were filled with elves, Grinches, and all kinds of merry magic today! The kids looked adorable, the staff had a blast, and the holiday spirit is definitely in full swing. ❤️💚

Items from Ms. Christie’s Bright Ideas Grant have begun arriving, and our students are loving all the new materials! The STEM Explorers: Sensory Science Lab for Pre-K is already bringing so much joy, curiosity, and hands-on learning to our classroom. We’re watching students explore, experiment, and discover through play-based learning! Thank you again to CCEC and the Carteret-Craven Electric Foundation for supporting our young learners!

💛 Today we showered our amazing principal, Mrs. Kimberly, with balloons to show her just how much we appreciate her! 💕 Each child and staff member who wanted to participate brought a balloon to brighten her day — and she had no idea it was coming! 🎈 We are so thankful for her leadership, kindness, and all she does for our Carteret Preschool family!

🌾 What a Wonderful Day at Garner’s Fall Festival! 🍁 Our CPC kiddos had the best time today! From watching the pumpkin chuck to bouncing, sliding, and meeting the goats — the smiles never stopped! 🐐🎃🍂

Today we celebrate our incredible Teaching Assistants who go above and beyond every single day. 💛 From supporting students in the classroom, to lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed, our TAs are the heart of our school family. ✨ You make a difference in countless little ways — and our school wouldn’t be the same without you!

We had a fantastic Open House event last Wednesday. This week we will be having Staggered Entry and Home Visits. Staggered entry means that children begin preschool on different days during the first week, rather than all starting together. This approach allows students to gradually transition into the school environment in smaller groups, helping them become comfortable with their teachers, classmates, and daily routines. Staggered entry also gives teachers the opportunity to get to know each child individually and provide more personalized support as they adjust to preschool. The school buses do not run during staggered entry week. Parents are asked to bring and pick up the children on their assigned day of the week. If you are not sure which day your child is assigned to come to school, please contact your child's teacher or call the school at 252-223-4574.
